We’re #1!

#1 bestsellerI first noticed the Powell’s Small Press Bestseller List, which is updated daily, in December. At that point Brave on the Page was at #2, so I assume we were on there before that date. Alas, no records are kept of the daily rankings, so I can’t go back and see if we were also a bestseller in October or November. Still, we’ve been on the list for two months now, edging happily into our third, and most of the time we rank #2.

Until today, when we finally made it to #1! Thanks again to Powell’s for all the support and encouragement. Everyone I have met there has been so enthusiastic about Forest Avenue Press, certainly culminating in our Jan. 7 reading and panel discussion in the downtown flagship store.

Find the list here.

  1. That’s great. You beat Anonymous! Congratulations.

  2. So great. Well deserved. (As long as you didn’t bribe anyone. Then it would only be kind of deserved.)

    • No bribes involved, Dylan! I think a computer program runs the numbers and spits out the results; in fact, there’s no master list of bestsellers so I have to check the small press section every day to see if we’re still on it. So far so good! Thanks for popping by and commenting.

  3. Congratulations to everyone Brave on the Page – and to you Laura for getting it up and printed!

    • Thanks so much! I’m so thrilled we’re still gaining attention and momentum four months after publication. I’ve learned a lot of lessons that I’m looking forward to applying to our fiction titles in 2013 and 2014.
