Getting Ready for a Reading

Curious about what authors do to get ready to read in public?

Gigi Little answers this question in her recent blog post, “Getting Ready for a Reading.” I love this essay, which takes the initial setup of preparing for a big event and turns itself into a piece about relationship.

Gigi is an accomplished reader who has participated in many, many events, including sharing her essay “Mentor” from Brave on the Page at our launch party on Saturday. She said she joked about writing a post about this subject when driving to the reading. And I’m so glad she did!

So go read the post, and then you’ll appreciate this photo of Stephen and Gigi even more.

Stephen O’Donnell, the artist, was interviewed in Brave on the Page, and his wife Gigi Little designed the cover and contributed an essay.
