Blackstone Audio will release Parts per Million as an audiobook

On April 10, when Julia Stoops’s debut novel Parts per Million hits shelves as a paperback, Blackstone Audio is releasing an audiobook edition.

It’s available for pre-order now through Downpour, Blackstone’s consumer site, or wherever you prefer to get your audiobooks. If you want to ensure your local library makes copies available, please request it now.

Foreword Reviews gave the novel five stars: “Deftly layering humor with strong rhetoric, Parts per Million is inspiring with its fights against the status quo.”

The audiobook version features three narrators: Greg Tremblay, Nicol Zanzarella, and Joe Barrett.

“Long ago, back when I was considering ways to get the story out into the world, I imagined turning the story into a podcast series, with each chapter being an episode,” said Julia. “I’d get three actors to read the chapters in the voices of Nelson, Fetzer and Jen, and it was going to be awesome. The PPM podcast never happened, but now three actors are going to read those three voices and I couldn’t be happier.”

This is the second audiobook deal Forest Avenue and Blackstone Audio have put together; the first project, A Simplified Map of the Real World by Stevan Allred, and narrated by the author, debuted earlier this month. Landfall by Ellen Urbani also was made into a Blackstone audiobook through an agreement arranged by the author’s agent.
